Join the Thames Discovery Programme for a guided foreshore walk at Cannon Street and learn more about our work on the foreshore and the fascinating and unique archaeology and history of the River Thames. Discover the archaeology of the waterfront from its Roman origins to the Victorian period as you explore the foreshore at the heart of the City!
Please meet at Cousin Lane Stairs, next to The Banker Pub, Cousin Lane (nearest station: Cannon Street) at 9am. This walk for adults will take place on the foreshore and sturdy walking boots or wellingtons are advised. Please note that the foreshore surface can be very uneven. In case of inclement weather, the walk may be postponed or cancelled. Do contact us if you have any questions about the event.
Thanks to funding from City Bridge Trust, our events are free for Londoners aged over 75.
