What happens if the weather is bad?

If weather conditions are unfavourable, we’ll notify participants by August 22 with a rescheduled date.

Who can participate in the event?

Only the current residents in One Maidenhead can join, including children aged 5 and above. Canoes seat two adults, two parents and one child, or one parent and two children, with a maximum of 10 participants per session.

Are there safety measures for children?

Yes, life jackets with leg straps are provided for children aged 5+ to ensure safety and ease of rescue in case of a capsize.

Do I need to bring anything specific?

Arrive dressed for the water, as there are no changing facilities. We’ll provide dry bags for valuables like phones and wallets.

How long is each canoeing session?

Each session lasts one hour, with five sessions: 9:30–10:30 AM, 10:45–11:45 AM, 12:45–1:45 PM, 2:00–3:00 PM, and 3:15–4:15 PM.

Is prior canoeing experience required?

No experience is needed! A team member will guide participants at the quayside to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

The quayside is a stable concrete platform for easy canoe access, but there are no changing facilities or restrooms available.

Can I bring my own life jacket?

You may bring your own, but we provide life jackets for all participants, including child-specific ones for ages 5+.
