Canon (UK) is delighted to announce a new series of Canon Ambassador workshops starting with Canon Ambassador Sanjay Jogia, who was named one of the top 6 Wedding Photographers in the World by Professional Magazine.

Join multi-award winning photographer Sanjay on an educational, engaging and practical workshop covering all the key aspects of creative photography. This is an exceptional opportunity to learn and work with one of the best photographers and instructors around. An essential workshop if you want to master lighting, improve your techniques and elevate your knowledge.

Canon will be supporting with professional photo gear to try on the live shooting sessions. There will also be the chance to take away an A2 print of one of your images on the day.

This is an intensive session with the following takeaways:

  • Using natural light and mastering flash to design and compose stunning images.
  • Learn to 'see' like a pro. See great shots in 'ordinary' places.
  • Tips on posing couples, composition and working with crowds.
  • The importance of lenses and bodies to achieve certain looks and styles.

  • Exposure: Getting it right every time, even in difficult lighting situations.
  • Creative use of shutter speeds.
  • Autofocus consideration for tracking moving subjects and key moments.
  • Learn how to edit your images professionally in Adobe® Lightroom®.

This workshop is limited to small groups so we advise booking early to avoid disappointment.

Advanced Amateur. Users should be proficient using manual exposure mode (pros are welcome).

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

You need to be at least 16 years old to attend this workshop. Please bring photo ID for this event if you are interested in loaning some of our equipment for the live shoots.

I assume this workshop is only for wedding photographers?

This workshop is suitable for those seeking to improve their portraiture and lighting technique, creative process, editing skills, posing, composition, and camera setup so they get the best images and image quality.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is no on-site parking so we advise everyone to use public transport. Blackfriars and Chancery Lane are both ten minutes walk away.

What do I need to bring on the day?

Bring your normal camera setup, memory cards, and business cards. You can bring up to two cameras to get sensor cleaned. Tripods and monopods are not needed on the day. You will also need to bring a laptop pre-loaded with Adobe Lightroom® for the editing session. If you want to take part in the critiques, please email two images to cps@cuk.canon.co.uk

What lenses do you recommend bringing on the day?

We recommend 24-70mm and 24-105mm focal lengths as well as 70-200mm and portrait lenses like 50mm and 85mm. There will be an extensive selection of cameras and lenses to try on the day.

What's the refund policy?

The refund policy is highlighted above and is 30 days before the event start date.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, electronic tickets are fine on the day. We may ask to see photo ID to verify the ticket.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes. All terms and conditions are transferred to the new owner of the ticket.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes but please contact cps@cuk.canon.co.uk so we can amend our records.
