Canon is offering you the chance to shoot with our pro mirrorless range of cameras. This particular event will focus on macro and interior architecture, at the Stanbrook Abbey Hotel.

Professional photographer David Newton will be leading this workshop. David will go through macro and interior techniques, he will guide you on how to be creative behind the camera and provide support and guidance for those wishing to become more advanced. The EOS M5 and M6 mirrorless cameras will be available to try on the day along with the our adaptors, which will enable you to use our EF and EFS lenses. We will also make use of our speedlite range.

David will explain how to make use of our speedlite flash guns to correctly light for macro, and negate the need for studio lighting in a confined area..The shoot will comprise of a macro set up, and interior shots, using some of our tilt and shift lenses. With great lighting and a great location, you will see the amazing capability of our mirrorless products.

By attending this event, you acknowledge that you may be photographed and recorded and grant your consent to record your picture and likeness for promotional purposes.

There will be one session from 13:00 until 16:00pm

Spaces are limited and are on a first come first served basis. There are 30 spaces available.

Do I have to be a professional photographer to attend this event?

- No. This is open to all levels.

I think I need a hotel, do I need to book my own accommodation or will Canon reserve a room for me?

- All delegates requiring a hotel need to make their own arrangements at their own expense.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements for the event?

- You must bring formal photo ID and be at least 16 years old to attend.

What should I bring on the day?

- Formal Photo ID and a copy of your ticket must be shown to gain access to this event.

- A credit card will be required for those interested in loans on the day. (Please note there will be a limit of 1 item per person for the loans. If you do not bring a valid credit card or debit card, we will not be able to offer you a loan.)

- A DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual controls, lens, spare memory cards and a tripod suitable for portrait photography.

What are my transportation and parking options for getting to and from the event?

- Once you have successfully registered. Please refer to your ticket for specific instructions.

What time should I arrive?

- A printed hard copy or a copy on your smart device will be required for entry.

- The name on the ticket must match the person attending on the day.

Will there be sensor cleaning services on the day?

Can I reserve any equipment on the day or before?

- All loans will be limited to one item per person. We will be operating a first come first served basis. We are unable to reserve anything prior or on the day. Please ensure you bring a credit card and photo ID if you are keen to loan an item.
