Event Details

Following on from the success of last year's event, Cantorion Cyfarthfa is proud to present its 19th Annual Concert.

We are proud to offer a platform for young and upcoming talent. This year our guest artistes  are two very talented young musicians both with a bright future ahead of them.

Aimee Davies from Merthyr Tydfil, is already an accomplished harpist. Sit back and enjoy the beautiful sound of her Welsh harp.

Sally Price, also from Merthyr Tydfil, is a talented flautist. She has shared the stage with the choir on several occasions.

Important - Obtaining your tickets

We love seeing you and are always grateful for your support. However, we need to ensure that we comply with the venue's fire and safety regulations by not exceeding capacity. You will be able to turn up and pay on the door but priority will be given to ticket holders. To avoid disappointment and to ensure that you have a seat we are changing our ticketing arrangements. You can guarantee your tickets in two ways:

  1. Purchase your tickets from choir members, by contacting us through our Facebook page, Twitter page, by email or by phone 07795 226199. Tickets cost £8

  2. Reserve a seat here on Eventbrite (there is no charge for this) and pay for your ticket on the door (£8).  Click below to pre-book your seats. Please make sure you bring your ticket or proof of purchase/reservation with you (printed or electronic (mobile phone etc) as entry will not be permitted without it.

You can still turn up on the night without a ticket or reservation but you may need to wait until all ticket holders have been seated.

Tickets cost £8 and include light refreshments during the interval. There will be a short raffle with three main prizes.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

This event is suitable for all ages. No ID is required.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The Red House is conveniently situated in Penderyn Square in Merthyr Tydfil town centre close to rail links and taxi ranks. There is ample parking close by (Castle car park and Ty Gwyn car park) which is free of charge after 6pm.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You will need to show proof that you have either purchased a ticket or reserved a ticket.

  • Tickets purchased direct from choir members should be presented for collection at the door.

  • If you reserve a seat here you should bring your confirmation with you. You can either print the ticket on checkout or show your electronic receipt. Payment will be collected from you on the door.
