Canvas Fundamentals

This interactive session introduces staff to the University's new virtual learning environment Canvas.

The session provides attendees with an overview of the new platform and an opportunity to start working on existing course content supported by Learning Technologists from Technology Enhanced Learning. The workshop will also explain the reasons for moving to Canvas, its benefits and the key dates during the transition period.

Content creation and management

This workshop represents an essential introduction to the new Canvas VLE and forms the basis for follow up training as required by individual Schools/staff members.

Please note: Canvas is still undergoing development with some work to integrate with existing University systems still to be completed. Training has been brought forward to allow staff as much time as possible to become familiar with Sussex's new VLE and to prepare their modules for the new academic year.
