Join Tahbib and Third World Solidarity for Canvas of Tahbib on Tagore’s Thought — a special evening celebrating the life and legacy of Rabindranath Tagore. Taking place on Thursday, 7th August 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Royal Nawab Restaurant, Perivale UB6 8DB, this exclusive event will feature prominent speakers including Cllr. Pritam Grewal, Ziauddin Yousafzai, and others.

This invitation-only gathering will reflect on Tagore's enduring contributions to literature, philosophy, and global thought. Dinner will also be served.

Brief bio of speakers:

Ziauddin Yousafzai is a Pakistani educator, human rights activist, and the father of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai. A passionate advocate for girls’ education and gender equality, he founded and ran the Khushal Girls High School in Pakistan. Ziauddin has become a global voice for social justice, speaking out against extremism and championing the rights of women and children worldwide.

Cllr. Pritam Grewal has proudly represented Hounslow Central Ward since 2002, bringing over two decades of service as a key Labour councillor. He has held several senior roles including Cabinet Member for Customer Services & Corporate Performance, Cabinet Member for Leisure & Culture, and currently chairs the Planning Committee, shaping development and wellbeing in the borough. Cllr. Grewal is known for his unwavering commitment to serving residents—responding to community concerns and facilitating access to essential services to improve local quality of life.
