In 2007, Abdi won the Your Comedy Star competition at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He was also nominated "Best Newcomer" in the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards,and came third in the Revels Chortle Student Comedy Awards. In 2011, Abdi came joint second in The Barbican Hackney Empire New Act of the Year competition. He has performed at some of the more established comedy clubs on the United Kingdom circuit, including Hackney Empire, Edinburgh Festival (2007), Trafalgar Square (Eid in the Square), Jongleurs (Various), The Comedy Store. Besides the UK, Abdi has also done stand-up shows in Canada, the United States, Holland, Northern Ireland, Kenya and Turkey. Additionally, Abdi has done various tours with other Muslim comedians. In July 2008, he performed at the Islam Expo in Olympia, London. In July 2011, he toured four UK cities in the Peace Youth and Community Trust's (PYCT) first Muslim Comedy Tour.
Aatif Nawaz is an award-winning British-Pakistani television presenter and stand-up comedian. He has also won acclaim for his acting, filmmaking, radio presenting and writing. In 2014, Aatif performed his debut solo 60 minute comedy show 'Talk Roti To Me' in front of 4 sell out crowds at the iconic Leicester Square Theatre in London. In 2014,
Aatif also became a regular presenter for the popular lifestyle programme 'Living The Life' on the Islam Channel. His work on The Aatif Newaz Show and 'Living The Life' earned him two nominations for MOMO (Music of Muslim Orientation) Awards for Best Television Presenter and Best TV Show.
Tez Ilyas started performing comedy in 2010 - hitting the ground running he found himself in no less than eight competition finals (Including the prestigious BBCNew Comedy Award and Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year).
2015 was a huge year for Tez with performances on BBC1, Radio 4 and E4 as well his debut show Tez Talks being met with huge critical acclaim. 2016 will see Tez preparing for his highly anticipated follow up hour Teztify.
