THIS IS A JOINT HEADLINE SHOW WITH CAPE CUB & KINGSLEY CHAPMAN & THE MURDER
KINGSLEY CHAPMAN & THE MURDER: As frontman and creator of north eastern English artrock band The Chapman Family, Kingsley flirted continuously between success and failure for a number of years before finally agreeing to call time on the group in the summer of 2013.
His new seven piece band The Murder take their musical references from the mythology of iconic rock and art. They are a dizzying mix of thundering drums, sparkling pianos, lush strings, skyscraping horns and barbed wire guitars all underpinned by a distinctly northern croon.
Their debut single "Lovers" was released in July 2015 on the Too Pure label. It was championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC6music where it won Rebel Playlist and has also been played extensively on XFM (where it was John Kennedy's "hot one") and Amazing Radio. Every subsequent and previous recording the band has ever released has been played on BBC6music as well as various BBC Introducing shows across the country. In March 2016 they did a four track session for legendary DJ John Kennedy at Radio X in London which aired as their latest song (not a single, just a new recording), "The Children Scream", was his record of the week.

The legacy of a man who threw it all away.
A two piece gothic-electro outfit from Darlington consisting of Dave Saunders and Rob Irish. Their dark and cinematic soundscapes, combined with unhinged, baritone vocals, conceptualise the life and legacy of Charles Dickens' wastrel brother.
