Hear from Shane Ohly as he lifts the curtain on this extraordinary event, revealing the inspiration behind it, the monumental logistics that make it possible, and the raw emotion that defines every step of this epic challenge.

We’ll also screen a series of powerful short films that dive into the personal stories of the runners who take it on, what drives them, what breaks them, and what keeps them moving through 8 days of brutal terrain.

To top it off, we’re joined by special guests, past finishers of the Cape Wrath Ultra, who will be live and in person to share their unfiltered experiences and answer your questions.

For the evening we will be having Jon Shield and Sarah Perry join to talk about their experiences, here is a little more about them:

Sarah Perry

Sarah Perry is an Inov8 athlete, ultra runner and school teacher based in Cumbria. Sarah holds many long distance records, including setting the fastest self-supported time on the 630 mile South West Coast Path. Sarah completed the Cape Wrath Ultra in 2023, describing the journey as “...not living up to expectations, but exceeding them greatly”.

Jon Shield

Jon Shield is a British endurance runner, coach and former paratrooper, known for winning the entire Beyond the Ultimate Global Race Series and racing in some of the world’s toughest environments. SCARPA athlete Jon placed 2nd Male on this years' Cape Wrath Ultra after an incredible performance in unprecedented hot conditions in Scotland.
