Hog Roast
At long last an event we can celebrate and finally come together as a Village after such a long time. Now that the COVID restrictions have officially been left behind we can move forward to a more sociable time. A lot has been lost over this period of restraint. Your Committee has organised for you all to join together outside at an evening event to commemorate this amazing milestone in our history on Friday 3rd June on the School Grounds. We have gained a special grant to allow us to be able to create this event for our Village families and beyond. A great opportunity to meet all the new people who have come into the Village over the last 2+ years and show them what a real Welsh Village can do!
Entry to the event is FREE, we are limiting the numbers for obvious reasons so best to book early via the Village website. We are arranging a delicious HOG ROAST supported with a Licensed Bar and Live Music. The Evening will start with the Bar opening at 7 p.m. followed by the Hog Roast at 8 p.m. there will be a vegetarian option of course and a real sausage in a roll for the children. The food is priced at cost, £6.50 for the Hog Roast Bun which will be filled with luscious pork, stuffing and apple sauce. This is produced by a new local company, Sizzling Pig, we wish them all the best for their new venture and look forward to tasting their wares! There will be some parking at the front of the school for those who cannot easily make it on foot.
We will be holding a Raffle on the evening.
Children's Party
We are having a children's celebration party on Saturday 4th June to rejoice in the Queens Jubilee. The party is for children up to YEAR 6 and will be held in the School Hall, Capel Dewi from 2p.m. until 4p.m.
The party is FREE although it is imperative that you book your childs/childrens place by 22nd May, as there is limited space due to restrictions on numbers unfortunately.

There is entertainment set up for them in the Annex after tea and we are expecting everyone to join in and make a CROWN to wear at the party which will be judged during the Tea Party, there will be prizes of course!! We are arranging two classes to be held out of school time during May (Please visit the village website for the details). Due to child protection rules parents will need to be in attendance for their children to attend the party.
Prosecco Party
We are throwing a special party! The party is to rejoice in the Celebration of
Queen Elizabeth's 70 Years on the throne. I am sure we all have a memory of that day from our childhood, you will have the chance to share that memory with fellow villagers on Saturday 4th June.
Tea time will be from 4p.m. until 6p.m. in the School Hall, Capel Dewi. (Please arrive on time, not before, thank you)
We are having a Coronation Hat Competition and to help you with your creations we are holding two classes during May, we are expecting you all to join in and create something special to you, no matter what you decide to do please use the 40's and 50's as a guide to create the atmosphere of that era. We have a Special Guest to Judge the Hats and there will be prizes! So put your best HAT FORWARD and come to the party wearing your creation. There will be a photographer too along with music of that era to create a foot tapping afternoon.
This event is FREE but we will be holding a raffle.
