Saturday November 6 is going to be a major day of mass protest. With the United Nations’ Climate Change Conference taking place in Central Glasgow, climate campaigners, youth, trade union activists and many others will be gathering from 11.30am - 4pm to send out a clear message - that we demand action for the climate NOW. This will be followed by our major internationally rally at 5.30pm.
While world leaders and big business will meet to talk big for the cameras about the climate crisis, we know from experience that this won’t be followed with meaningful action. The capitalist system places the drives for profits above anything else, while the poorest and exploited people of the world face the real consequences of this escalating emergency.
We have to build a movement that is anti-capitalist and fighting for revolutionary socialist change across the world, in order to target the capitalist polluters. Our movement must fight to bring the world’s resources and wealth into the hands of the global majority to end the system driving the climate crisis.
Come to International Socialist Alternative’s rally - “Capitalism Is Killing the Planet! Fight for Socialist Change” to hear from speakers engaged in climate struggles and fights for democratic and workers rights across the globe. We are a fighting organisation fighting for a society based on democratic planning, public ownership and international solidarity. We are active in over 30 countries, from the US, to Ireland, to China, to South Africa and Brazil, taking part in the struggles of the working class and oppressed people. Join us today!
