The next Captivate Creative Schools Network will be on Tuesday 14 October at Sherwood Observatory focusing on both art and science and run between 2.00 and 4.30. Michelle Reader, a sculptor based at Harley Gallery and creator of the 2 horses outside the gallery, will be running a recycling sculptural workshop for Primary Schools.
Using recycled materials, the workshop will involve imagining what might be useful on a space mission, with Michelle sharing some simple sculpture techniques to bring the inventions to life. You will have an opportunity to see some examples of Michelle’s sculptures and puppets and learn about how she makes them.
