About this event
If you’re looking to level up your photos and improve your techniques, then join us at our store in Central London for a free practical session on Wednesday 24th September 2025 where food and lifestyle photographer Bea Lubas will be in store to show you how you can create stunning photos ready to share on your social platforms, with the aid of camera techniques, and very few accessories.
During the session, Bea will be creating and shooting a food scene, explaining the principles she works with including composition, styling, equipment, lighting props and camera settings. Whilst Bea will be working with food, the techniques she’ll demonstrate can easily be transferred to other subjects that you might like to shoot, and is a great way to level up your photography if you’re looking to move from your phone to using your camera. Or if you’re already using a camera and want to further improve your skills, this session will hopefully give you the confidence to do just that!
Throughout the session there will be opportunities for you to get hands-on with a range of Canon cameras so you can put what you’ve learnt into practice. If you already own a Canon camera, feel free to bring this along, with some memory so you can take any shots home with you.
At the end of the session there will be plenty of time to pick Bea’s brains on all things relating to food photography.
A technical expert from Canon UK will also be on-hand to help answer any questions you might have. After the session, you’re welcome to head to the Canon area of the store to see the wide-range of cameras, lenses and printers available, and take advantage of some special Camera Store Week offers.
