CoCoastSW are holding their first BioBlitz at Kingsand, Plymouth. The aim to ID as many marine species as possible and we need your help! Come learn more about the shore and and challenge yourself to find as many species as you can - and get a free CoCoast BioBlitz key ring!
When and where?
We will start off the day walking from Crymll Ferry at 09:30 on the Southwest coastal path to Kingsand (We will be getting the 09:15 Cremyll Ferry). Please join us on the walk where we will be talking about marine mammal observing.
We will be on the rocky shore between 11:30 and 16:30 at Kingsand where we will begin to record as many species of fauna and flora as possible.
Pop along for as long or as little as you would like and check in with us throughout the day to get a free BioBlitz key ring to be officially part of the CoCoast team.
Everyone is welcome so bring the whole family! Bring appropriate footwear and waterproofs.
Please note, under 18s must be acompanied by an adult. CoCoast are not responsible for you during this event.
This is a CoCoast BioBlitz, the Marine Biological Association's 24 hour BioBlitz will still be running later in the year.
