Capturing the economic benefits of Northern Powerhouse Rail
Thu 27 April 2017, 07:45 – 10:00 BST
As Transport for the North continues to develop its Northern Powerhouse Rail initiative, join leading business and political figures to discuss how the economic benefits of this multi-billion pound investment can best be captured across the North.
Hosted and supported by Yorkshire Building Society, at this event civic and business leaders will discuss how transport can act as a catalyst for economic growth, both in terms of enhanced connectivity and physical regenerative benefits, and the opportunities this growth will bring for businesses in the Northern Powerhouse.
Discussing plans to extend Leeds Railway Station to make it suitable for HS2 and Northern Powerhouse Rail, along with the ‘Next Stop Bradford’ campaign for a new Northern Powerhouse Rail station within Bradford City Centre, we will find out what needs to be done to lay the foundations for successful rail led city centre redevelopment – and how businesses can best shape the Government’s transport investment priorities in the North.
