Event description

Description

For those not aware Manchester Museum & the Whitworth are at the forefront of the city’s efforts to reach an ambitious goal of cutting carbon emissions in Manchester by 41% by 2020, and to create a “low carbon culture”. As part of this, all Whitworth staff now have the opportunity to take part in Carbon Literacy training designed specifically for galleries and museums.

Carbon Literacy is an ambitious project to give every person who lives, works or studies in Manchester a day of training to understand the facts of climate change and what they can do to bring about a “low carbon culture”. Delivered by two Carbon Literate-certified trainers everyone who completes the day will receive their own certificate of Carbon Literacy.

We hope that as many of you as possible who have not yet taken part will join us for what we trust will be an interesting course both enlightening and uplifting in its message. So whether you are already passionate about climate control, want to learn more about it or are not convinced of the case, then this course is a great place to discuss the issues.

Many thanks,

Bryony & Gillian
