What is Carbon Literacy?

Carbon Literacy equips individuals and communities with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to tackle climate change locally. It's all about understanding the carbon impacts of everyday activities and learning practical ways to reduce emissions. This training isn't just a course—it's a way to become part of a network of informed, proactive citizens dedicated to creating a sustainable and resilient community.

Who is this training for?

Whether you're already working on climate initiatives or just getting started, this training will empower you. You'll dive into the core science of climate change, explore climate justice and relevant policies, and learn how to translate that knowledge into meaningful action within your community.

Upon successful completion, you'll receive a globally recognised Carbon Literacy certification, an accreditation that showcases your commitment and expertise. You'll also make two pledges to take action on climate, solidifying your role as a leader in your community.

Event Details

This online training is delivered via Zoom and will take place on Thursdays, October 16th and 23rd, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Please note this is a two-part training, and participants will need to attend on both dates.
