Is this course relevant to me?

Carbon Literacy is relevant to employees at all levels of the organisation. Carbon Literacy provides you with the opportunity to actively engage with your organisation's priorities and ambitions, and it gives you the knowledge and skills to take action within your own role.

Question 2

How much time will it take to complete the learners evidence form after the training session?

Accepted Answer

You will be given time during the training on day 2 to start on your learners evidence form. You need to submit the form within two weeks after completing day 2. How much time this takes varies per person but is estimated around 1-2 hours.

Question 3

I would like to train my whole team. How do I do that?

Accepted Answer

Once you successfully complete your Carbon Literacy training, you can roll out training to staff across your organisation. To facilitate this, we will make the "Carbon Literacy for Charities and Social Enterprises working in Public Leisure and Culture" course available to purchase in summer 2024.

Question 4

I like the sound of the course but it is a big time commitment for me / colleagues.

Accepted Answer

The Carbon Literacy quality standard requires training to be equivalent to a full day’s learning. We have spread this over two half days to make it easier to attend. Once you complete the course and you deliver training internally, you can be more flexible on spreading the delivery of the content.

What other Carbon Literacy courses exist that might be relevant?

Accepted Answer

The Carbon Literacy Project also have Museums, Sport, and Local Authorities toolkits available which may be more suitable for prospective learners who do not manage public leisure and culture facilities or only manage a museum service.

Question 6

Why can I only book two tickets?

Accepted Answer

We ask that you limit the attendance of your organisation to a maximum of two staff members at this point to manage demand and interest for the training sessions (so other organisations can also train their staff).
