Description

Carbon Literacy training part 1: “Climate Change: The Facts” (film screening)

Part 1 of your Carbon Literacy training consists of a film screening of Sir David Attenborough’s critically acclaimed documentary “Climate Change: The Facts”. In this moving documentary we follow David Attenborough as he interviews some of the world’s leading climate scientists exploring what dangers climate change poses to human populations and the natural world, as well as potential solutions to this global threat. We will capture key learning points from the film by concluding with some interactive activities.

Please note that you also need to sign up to and attend Carbon Literacy training part 2 in order to gain your Carbon Literacy certificate.

This film screening is open for Manchester Met staff and students only.

Places are limited, so please only register if you are sure you can attend. If you fail to turn up you may be taking the opportunity from another student or staff member.

If you have any accesibility needs (e.g. dylexia, mobility, hard of hearing) please let us know in advance at carbonliteracy@mmu.ac.uk so that we can cater for you accordingly.

Qualifications and recognition:

You will receive an official Carbon Literacy Certificate once you have completed both parts of the Carbon Literacy training. The training also counts towards the MMU Futures Award for students.
