About this event
The UK has legislated to end its contribution to global warming by 2050, in effect reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 100%. Nexus MAT has made a public commitment to reaching Net Zero by 2030 which is an ambitious target. We know that up to 80% of emissions can be in Scope 3 Purchased Goods and Services so over the next five years, we need our suppliers to be a part of our journey to net zero to help us all achieve this truly transformational goal.
We know it can be a challenging and complex topic though and so we're partnering with Go4Growth and their Public Sector Net Zero programme to help us all on this journey. Go4Growth will be here to help you as a current supplier to Nexus be able to work out what's right for your business to do as part of the drive to become Carbon Net Zero.
There are practical tools available to help you whether you have already started your own carbon reduction journey, calculated your carbon footprint or whether you're not sure where to start.
This webinar will provide a practical overview of the programme we're launching, what we need from you but also most importantly, how being part of this drive to net zero can be both environmentally and commercially beneficial for your business.
We'll cover in brief the general requirements, what you need to be aware of and how your business can engage with this important agenda, how to add in your emissions data if you have it or how to calculate it if not. We'll show you how to link to your existing carbon reduction plan if you have one or how to use this programme to create a simple action plan. Our action plans are government compliant and can be used in quotes and tenders in public and private sectors to support your business growth.
The programme is fully funded and so free of charge to our suppliers and there is lots of embedded support in programme including training, guidance and also signposting to green funding where applicable.
Go4Growth are currently supporting more than 1,000 public sector suppliers already who are creating over 30,000 actions towards net zero.
We hope you will join us in moving towards net zero together and becoming part of creating one million carbon reduction actions towards this one very urgent goal.
