About this Event

Join Cardboard Citizens at the launch of Cardboard Camps in Newcastle and the North-East. Cardboard Camps is a three-year programme of staff training, network events, projects and performances with marginalised and homeless communities in the North East – starting in Newcastle. Some brief information is here: https://www.cardboardcitizens.org.uk/announcing-cardboard-camps

The meeting will take place at Northern Stage on Wednesday 30th October from 2pm – 4pm, and will outline the aim and structure of the Cardboard Camp programme and our new partnership with the Northern Stage. The aim of the meeting is to introduce the programme, its background and ambitions – but most importantly, to hear from you about who we should work with and what the priority issues for Newcastle are.

The North East Cardboard Camp builds on Cardboard Citizens’ previous residencies, performances and training events, and similar partnerships developed with Bristol Old Vic and Manchester Royal Exchange this year.

Attendees will hear all the details about the programme, and will be invited to be part of the Camp network group, ensuring the programme engages and supports the right people and has a real, genuine legacy.

The Launch is taking place in the Mezzanine, which is on the first floor and accessible for wheelchair users via a lift. Please email Rosa at rosa@cardboardcitizens.org.uk with any other access requirements.
