Description

Postgraduate conference on childhood adoption. A one-day conference for postgraduate researchers from any discipline with an interest in child adoption. Key note speakers Julie Doughty, School of Law, Cardiff University and Debbie Watson, School for policy Studies, University of Bristol. There will be opportunities for students to give oral or poster presentations. Prizes awarded for best presentations.

Students at all levels of postgraduate study are invited to give presentations on their own research (ongoing or completed) as well as various aspects of their study and experience, including but not limited to: birth families, assessment of adopters, education, transitions, life story work, psychological adjustment and legal matters.

Abstracts should be 250 words, indicating name, institutional affiliation and title of presentation. Abstracts should be submitted no later than 19/05/17 to Anya Barton (bartonai@cardiff.ac.uk).
