Cardiff: Creative Capital

Creative Cardiff is a city-wide network which connects people working in any creative organisation, business or job. By encouraging people to work together we believe that we can make Cardiff the most creative place it can be.We hope that this network will enable its members to connect, discover new ideas, build their audience, promote their work, find new opportunities and work with new people. We believe our network can generate new visions and stories to promote and enhance the city’s creative economy.Rhwydwaith newydd y ddinas yw Caerdydd Creadigol sy’n cysylltu pobl sy’n gweithio mewn unrhyw sefydliad, busnes neu swydd greadigol. Trwy annog pobl i gydweithio, credwn y gallwn ychwanegu at greadigrwydd dinas Caerdydd.Gobeithiwn y bydd y rhwydwaith hwn yn galluogi ei aelodau i gysylltu, darganfod syniadau newydd, adeiladu ei chynulleidfa, hyrwyddo eu gwaith, dod o hyd i gyfleoedd ffres a gweithio gyda phobl newydd. Insights from our first year of Creative Cardiff alongside the themes and trends emerging from wider research.
There is a growing awareness of the importance of the creative economy, not only in its contribution to people’s quality of life but as a distinctive segment of the economy in its own right.
Evidence from various sources confirms intuitive impressions of Cardiff as a creative city, with a significant cultural sector that is not only part of the fabric of life in the city but a cornerstone of its economy.
At Creative Cardiff, we have begun the process of mapping Cardiff’s creative economy. This work sits alongside the establishment of the Creative Cardiff Network, established in October 2015.
