Run Wales has contracted St John Cymru-Wales (St John) to provide and manage the medical cover at this year’s Cardiff Half Marathon in Cardiff on 2nd October 2016.
This is an annual event and now in to its 14th year and around 18,000 participants are expected although the number of registrations will be around 20,000.
St John will be providing the following:
Ten fully equipped St John Emergency Ambulances
Four St John Rapid Response Vehicles (RRV’s)
Eight St John Cycle Responders
Three Treatment Centres
Six mobile First Aid posts
07:15 - Vehicle Checks at Norbury Road.
08:00 - All staff to be at NHQ - Refreshments will be provided
08:30 - Briefing start at NHQ
09:15 - Duty Start
18:30 - Estimated Stand Down.
The uniform requirements for this duty are as follows:
Standard Delivery Uniform (White Shirt Underneath) - All First Aiders.
Approved Cycle Responder Uniform - All Cycle Response Unit.
PPE: Hi-Visibility Jackets with St John Cymru Wales Flashes and Epaulettes.
