Join us for a public soup dinner, and support your local community!
What is it?
Cardiff SOUP is a crowdfunding initiative celebrating and supporting community and creative projects in Cardiff.
How does it work?
For a suggested donation of £6, attendees receive food and a vote, and hear up to four presentations from people carrying out local community projects. These can be about ANYTHING! and can range from art, urban agriculture, social justice, social entrepreneurs, education, technology and more.
The format is simple
FIVE minute presentations, from
FOUR local people, followed by
FIVE minutes of questions from the audience.
Audience members discuss, then vote for the project they think will benefit the community the most.
At the end of the night, ballots are counted and the winner goes home with all money raised to invest in their community project. Winners come back to a future SOUP dinner to report on their project’s progress.
Make new friends
This is also a lovely opportunity to meet people living in your local community, to share ideas and support community initiatives.
Pay what you can at the door (suggested donation of £6) Free entry for refugees and asylum seeker
This is an official RSVP and we would like to keep it as accurate to the evening as possible (it helps us know how much soup to make!).
If for any reason you can no longer make it to Cardiff SOUP after registering to attend, please send us an email at email@example.com
We use different venues for each SOUP event so that we can reach different communities across Cardiff.
We are so excited that this event will be at the Trinity centre, who do wonderful work to support refugees, asylum seekers and others in need in the local community. BIG thanks to them for their support and offering us the space free of charge.
How do I get involved?
If you would like to 'pitch' your project at Cardiff SOUP, then please complete this short form by Thursday 4 May.
If you wish to volunteer at the event, please get in touch by email, we'd love to hear from you.
