Event description

Description

HCAs can provide a valuable resource in performing tasks such as recording ECGs and measuring blood pressure. This study day provides HCAs with an opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills in both of these tasks, in a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment. The importance of working according to competence and protocols is always emphasised.

Accreditation: This is recommended for HCAs. In order to achieve accreditation, the HCA will need a registered nurse in the work place who will agree to supervise them and sign off their competence during the 3months following the course. There will also be a short work book to complete.
