CARE convention is an established forum for clinicians and multidisciplinary teams working in airway and respiratory care.
About this event
With a faculty of UK and international key speakers, CARE convention offers a blend of plenary session and engaging workshops to encourage sharing of knowledge and experience to improve patient outcomes. The 11th CARE convention is a clinician-led event promising to deliver quality education of the highest standard for all those working in airway and respiratory medicine.

Day 1 - Monday 6th June
- Respiratory Support Units (RSU); problems and solutions chaired by Dr Alanna Hare, Consultant in sleep and ventilation, Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals
- Sustainability; practicing green medicine chaired by Dr Richard Hixson, Consultant in Anaesthesia and Critical Care Medicine, Country Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT)
- Non-invasive Respiratory Support chaired Dr Annabel Nickol, Respiratory Consultant, Sleep and Ventilation Service Lead, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust
Convention dinner and poster prize award ceremony.
Day 2 - Tuesday 7th June
- Invasive Ventilation chaired by Professor Nicholas Hart, Professor of Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust
- Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) chaired by Dr John Cousins, Consultant anaesthetist, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
- Nasal High Flow Humidified Air, the new FRONTIER chaired by Professor Anita Simonds.
