Description

Health and Wellness monitoring technologies are booming, these technologies can enhance the health, wellness and safety of care home residents and staff, and reduce staff burden. Join us at this workshop to understand the benefits and how they can be applied in your organisation. We will provide you with a greater understanding of the technology available with examples from care homes to elite sport, a tour of GB Boxing facilities will be on the itinerary. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative technologies for care homes.

This workshop will be delivered on the 25th July and the 18th September. It will draw on the expertise of the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) and the Centre for Sports Engineering Research (CSER) in monitoring technologies. At this event you will gain a better understanding of the technology, expertise and facilities at Sheffield Hallam University. We can help your organisation to innovate your working practices to improve the health, wellness and safety of residents and staff.

This event is for SME care home businesses and eligible charitible organisations based in the Sheffield City Region.

Anticipated outcomes for attendees

  • Discussion on the importance of technology and key health valuables in Care Homes.
  • A greater understanding of the different types of data & technology, translating examples from elite sport to care home environments.
  • The opportunity to contribute toward the development of innovative technologies for care homes.
  • Tour of the facilities and technology at GB Boxing training facilities at EIS Sheffield
  • A greater understanding of the ethical and security consideration when using monitoring technologies and data.
  • Better understanding of Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) / Centre for Sports Engineering Research Centre (CSER) technology, expertise and facilities at Sheffield Hallam University.
  • Knowledge of pathways to engage with the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC).
