About this event

Cornwall Hospice Care are running a series of face-to-face training sessions on Care of the Dying Patient in the Last Days of Life.

The course addresses identifying the five priorities for care of the dying patient and recognising how the five priorities for care support the provision of dignity, comfort, sensitive communication and compassionate care in the last days of life.

It is aimed at all health and social care staff caring for people in the last days and hours of life.

This 3 hour session will cover:

  • an overview of recognising the dying patient
  • sensitive communication
  • common symptoms in the last days of life, and
  • their management and care planning

A certificate will be awarded upon completion of the session.
