Surrey and North Hampshire provides members with a programme of interactive sessions to help them influence their careers. Career Connect is brought to you by CIPD Chartered Members, who volunteer their expertise because they are passionate about providing you with the tools to enhance your careers. Members can choose to attend the full suite of 9 sessions betweeb September and July, or attend specific ones meaningful to them.
Research suggests that values have the power to influence, motivate and guide us in career decisions.
This first session will explore the concept of career values and provide participants with tools to measure and reflect on their own values, debunking the myths of career success.
Anna Lewis is a qualified Business Psychologist with an MSc in Business Psychology and is a Chartered Member CIPD, specialising in personal and organisational effectiveness. She is the joint Managing Partner of Bright Leadership, which helps Companies internationally to create highly engaged organisations, where people add value, not just simply come to work. As a Career Development practitioner, Anna uses a research based approach to career coaching and mentoring, focusing on positive psychology, promoting individual’s strengths and achievement of positive results.

Surrey and North Hampshire Branch aims to Build connections between CIPD, our members and the community to enhance the capability and expertise of members and the profession.
We do this by providing a range of events and services to support the professional development of our 3300 members within the local and national business communities. Our events and services are designed to assist members to develop their HR skills and abilities and keep at the forefront of emerging HR practices as well as manage their continuous professional development. We welcome anyone interested in HR to attend a range of events covering everything from our standard Employment Law updates, through to specialist sessions aimed at consultants and help for members looking for a new role – and everything in between.
We cover an area which stretches from Dorking in the east around the M25 to Farnborough in the west. Through our groups in Farnborough & Camberley, Guildford, Woking, Walton & Weybridge and Dorking we provide members with friendly and direct access to our services at a local level. We are proud of our two Special Interest Groups (SIGs) which provide unique support to our members seeking to enhance their careers via the Career Connect SIG and to the many HR consultants in the area though the dedicated Consultant SIG.
