Discover the creative skill of vision boarding and how it can work for your career in this practical, fun, and informative workshop.
You may have heard about vision boards – a collage of pictures and words that depict a mixture of goals, plans and ideas. But did you know that they aren’t just for new year’s resolutions? They can actually be a very powerful business tool that can help you connect with your career in multiple ways.
From building on your strengths and mapping out your career prospects; to planning short-term and long-term actions such as training, marketing, products, strategies or campaigns; discover how to create your own career-focused vision board in this workshop. You can join in and create your vision board live, or simply sit back and learn to do it in your own time, the choice is yours!
A coaching workshop with a difference, you’ll first learn what is vision boarding and why you should be doing it with a few examples of how it is utilised in different career sectors, before exploring creative methods for discovering, focusing and setting your own career-focused intentions. Finally, you will get creative, and design your very own vision board to help you achieve your desires! Whether you’re a seasoned artist or completely new to crafting, there will be something for everyone in this workshop – and you’ll come away with a valuable skill that you can utilise going forward, no matter your industry.
Materials You Need:
- Sheet of cardboard OR Cork board
- Magazines and newspapers
- Glue
- Scissors
- Pen & paper
- Any other print outs that inspire you (quotes, images, keywords)
The Speakers
THE RELUCTANT GURUS are two coaches who believe that creativity is key to living a better and more fulfilling life. As featured in the Irish Business Post, they regularly work across the world hosting wellness workshops focusing on creativity, mindfulness, career, and relationships.
ANNMARIE
Annmarie is a communications expert who has worked all around the world with organisations such as the UN. An environmental advocate and meditation teacher, she is founder of sustainable living and travel website Eco-Conscious Traveller.
SHANNON
With a Masters in visual anthropology from Oxford University, Shannon is a full-time content creator and workshop facilitator. She has worked for world-leading organisations such as the Victoria & Albert Museum and her workshops and content have been featured on media such as RTE News and the Irish Times.

This event is organised by the University of Westminster’s Creative Enterprise Centre (CEC) as part of the annual Westminster’s Inclusive Enterprise Festival (WInc); delivered through a series of events that aim to inspire, inform and empower a diverse and representative talent pipeline.
