How will the session run?
Career WorkOut will introduce job-seeking young adults (19-24 year olds) to work guests from different work backgrounds so they can find out what it’s really like in different jobs. In a one-hour speed-interview session, the young people will interview each guest about their personal experiences of work. All WorkOut sessions give guests a chance to say what they do for work and why, find out more about young people today, network with guests from other local businesses and be part of promoting community cohesion.
You will be briefed on arrival by the Worktree team. You’ll join other work guests to answer questions from small groups of 2-3 young adults in a carousel, of 6-7 minute interviewss. They’ll ask you open questions about your job/career path for example how you got your job(s) and what it’s like for you. When the time is up the young people will move to the next guest, and so on until the end of the session. The session will be facilitated by a member of the Worktree team. A short debrief for guests will take place at the end of each session.
