Careers Live is a series of FREE events providing the perfect opportunity to engage with leading thinkers in the CEIAG sector about what the future holds

Join us to discuss the current context for career guidance and what it really means for schools, colleges and career guidance professionals. Careers Live will explore what the government are looking for and what support is likely to be put in place.
Our panel of experts will talk to you about the impact of the pandemic on young people, how careers guidance can support them to focus on the opportunities and what you, as careers leaders, can expect from the careers policy over the next few year
The panel will be interactive and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

Prof Tristram Hooley (University of Derby)
Where next for career guidance in England. From Wuhan to the White Paper. Why career guidance matters more than ever.
Tristram is a Professor of Career Education at the University of Derby and Professor II at the Inland Norway University for Applied Science. He is also Chief Research Officer at the Institute of Student Employers and Chair of the Board at Adviza. He is an internationally renowned researcher, evaluator and presenter specialising in career education and guidance. He has taught, consulted, lectured and conducted research on four continents. He produces the Adventures in Career Development blog and podcast at http://adventuresincareerdevelopment.wordpress.com
Nicola Hall (Director of Education, Careers and Enterprise Company)
The context of careers. A discussion about the Skills for Jobs White Paper, the role out of Careers Hubs Nationally and whole schools careers communities.
Kieran Gordon (Executive Director with Careers England)
How careers advice and guidance support opportunities for young people.
Kieran assumed the role of Executive Director with Careers England in July 2020, following a successful career as CEOI of Career Connect from its formation and its initial incorporation as GMCP in 2001 to present day. Kieran has an extensive track record of providing careers advice and guidance services to young people and adults for more than 30 years. The Companies he has led have been commissioned by Government and other public sector and private sector agencies since 1996
