Description

The aims of the Caregiving HOPE study were to explore the impact of cultural obligation, willingness to care and preparedness to care on the wellbeing of carers of relatives living with dementia. The study also explored, how culturally obligated, willing and prepared future generations would be to provide care for relative living with dementia. This event is funded by the Alzheimer's Society and hosted by the University of Bradford.

The aims of the event are to:

1. Share the results of the Caregiving HOPE study.

2. Attendees will receive a free copy of the Living with Dementia: The carer experience book.

3. Attendees will have th opportunity to discuss and help researchers design support packages for carers.

The event is being hosted for carers, but will also be relevant to health and social care professionals and service providers and commissioners.

This even will take place from 10:30 to 3:30. Refreshements will be provided during breaks and Lunch will also be provided.
