Carers Event - CANCELLED

Do you work with informal or family Carers? Are you a carer? Are you interested in finding out more about what support is available and what is happening to develop more support for carers in Birmingham? Then this event is for you.

The event is taking place on Friday 2nd March from 10am – 2pm (including lunch) at Birmingham City Football Ground.

The event will include a short formal meeting session in the morning, where Graeme Betts, Corporate Director with responsibility for Carers, and Paul Jennings, Interim Chief Executive, will talk to you about our commitment to carers in Birmingham from across Health and Social Care. We are keen to invite carers of all ages, both hidden and formal to this networking event to hear directly from you.

The morning sessions will also feature two workshops which will seek your views on:

• Birmingham Commitment to Carers

• Birmingham’s Carers Strategy for the future

Public Health Colleagues will be carrying out Birmingham’s Carers Survey during the event.

In addition to this, there will be a marketplace of organisations and companies that provide support to carers in Birmingham so you can find out more about services that may help you in your caring role.
