Carers Right Week '21: Respite breaks for Carers & the people they care for
Event Information
About this event
It's Carers Rights Week, and we are helping Carers in Somerset understand that they have the right to ask for a break! Today, we bring together many options for you to learn about...
What is Respite Care?
How do you access it?
What forms does it come in?
In this informative Zoom session, you can meet various providers of Respite care in Somerset, and find out what's best for you as a Carer. Hear from:
- HeadsUp Somerset
- Headway
- The Lawrence Centre
- Microproviders
- Open Storytellers
- Marie Curie Helper Somerset & Devon
- Carers Groups
- Froglife: Outdoor activities for those with Dementia
- Respite Meals
There will also be a Q&A session with our Village Agents who support unpaid Carers in Somerset, so you can ask about anything to help with your caring role.
The link to the zoom meeting will be sent after booking.
Hosted by Somerset Carers Co-ordinator, Fiona Harvey. Any queries, email fionah@somersetrcc.org.uk

Please note the Zoom will be recorded for publicising on our website and social media, however unless we have your permission, we will not broadcast the Q&A at the end to retain your privacy. The recording will be replayed publically at a later date and will not be live broadcast on the day.
