CARGO Performance Workshops
Sun 9 April 2017, 11:00 – 16:00 BST
Join Valise Noire to make a significant performance On Poole Quay. We have The Queen Galadriel at our disposal, a beautiful old sailing boat which will arrive at The Great Quay with performers aboard. Opportunities to be on dry land performing is also possible. Music and the unloading of CARGO, beautifully created light boxes will dominate the performance.
"CARGO has the potential to be one of the most important art events within our European Maritime Festival"
Mayor Of Poole
We are offering a great opportunity to not only be a performer but to bring your creativity into the making of this fabulous show.
We are running a series of free weekend workshops to create and recruit performers who will then be part of the final shows as part of the Maritime Festival in May on Poole Quay.
We will be creating a contemporary performance and are looking for enthusiastic friendly people who love to dance, act, move, sing, or simply walk and share the heritage of CARGO with audiences. Some performers will arrive on the ship, some will be based on the quay and we are looking for a range of abilities
Come along, spend some great and inspiring time with us, learn more about performing outdoors and creating art and performance from heritage research. We look forward to meeting you.
Depending on your role/part, you may be required to attend all rehearsal dates.
