Additional info for workshop:
A textiles-based creative workshop using punch needle, hand embroidery and appliqué on calico to explore and document Caribbean spaces, memories and everyday rituals.
Participants will create individual embroidered patches inspired by a personal or collective Caribbean space — from verandas and barbershops to dancehalls, kitchens or churches. These will later be combined into a large, collaborative textile artwork that will be archived — contributing to Caribbean history and preserving culture for future generations.
Led by Designer Kris Thomas
Drop-ins welcome to the exhibition area and lime. Please book your place for the film screening and workshop, as numbers are limited.
