About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours

This event is funded by the British Academy as part of a research project on the role of SLOs in England and Wales. In 2024, a sample of 20 SLOs were interviewed for the project to understand the meanings ascribed to the role and the networked working practices across the SLO field. Based on the themes generated from those interviews, Dr Mark Turner (Manchester Metropolitan University) and Dr Daniel Fitzpatrick (Aston University, Birmingham) invite SLOs drawn from the four professional leagues to attend this one-day SLO network event designed to extend understanding of the evolution of the SLO in England and Wales, capturing first hand experiences of SLOs, in order to recohgnise, reflect, and enhance their pivotal role. The event will form two parts. More details on the event schedule will be released in April. Lunch and refreshments will be provided by the organisers.
