Sharing crafts and stories is at the heart of a community.
Renowned storyteller and passionate recycler Carmel Page will teach you simple crafts using recycled materials. If you prefer, you are welcome to bring your own crafting to do, or just to listen.
Once everyone is settled, Carmel will enchant you with stories.
No experience needed, all the materials you require will be provided.
Our first craft will be to create a colourful rug to go in front of the fireplace in the cafe.
Carmel is working with Anwen of Airy Fairy to create a community based around craft and stories. We are offering this as a pay-what-you-feel event.
Realisitically, £14 would help to pay Carmel a reasonable hourly rate and contribute to hire of the cafe.
£8 means Carmel gets some reimbursement for her hours
£3 means this event is accesible. We aim to be inclusive so please choose this option if it is the one you need to be able to attend.
There will be a donation pot on the day if anyone wished to contribute more or for people who just turn up.
The cafe will be open so we can enjoy the drinks and goodies on offer as we craft.
N.B. The toilets are up a steep staircase
