If you are clinically vulnerable you are still able to access the site but please take extra precautions. If you need to obtain any items but are clinically extremely vulnerable, and therefore shielding, or are unable to access campus, please contact us.

Please note that for all other purposes our campuses remain closed until further notice.

Equipment available to collect:

Computer mouse; single monitor; headsets; docking stations; personal items.

Equipment unavailable to collect:

Computer towers and desktop PCs; office furniture (including chairs and desks); keyboards (excluding ergonomic keyboards – see FAQs for more information).

Keyboards may not be compatible with your home PC and can cause issues to remote access if removed from your workstation on campus. Please contact us and we can arrange for a compatible keyboard to be sent out to you.

Collecting a chair

Although you cannot collect your chair from your office, we know you might need a chair to help you work more comfortably.

Chairs, which have been cleaned and sanitised, will be made available for collection. Whether you are based at Headingley or City Campus, chairs are to be collected from a central point at Headingley Campus between 10:00 and 15:00 on the available selected dates. This is so we can ensure their collection is managed safely with minimum risk to colleagues.

If you require a specific occupational health chair please email conferences@leedsbeckett.ac.uk and they will help make arrangements with you.

How it will work

  • You are responsible for social distancing, remaining two metres apart at all times.
  • The use of lifts is discouraged but we understand that this might not be possible when moving objects. Please ensure that there is only one person in a lift at a time.
  • Hand sanitiser will be placed at building entrances.
  • You are required to have your staff ID with you whilst on campus.

To ensure your safety, while adhering to guidance on social distancing, a maximum of six people are able to select a 30 minute time slot.

Time slots are available from Thursday 18 June until Thursday 16 July, every Monday to Friday, between 09:00 and 19:00.

To ensure that there are no delays for colleagues accessing the campus during their designated time slots, please arrive on time and leave within your allocated half hour slot.

So that there’s no delay for subsequent colleagues accessing their agreed timeslots, please make sure you arrive at the beginning of yours and leave within the allotted 30 minutes.

Where can I find access information for each individual building?

Once you book a slot, you will receive a confirmation that is unique to the building you intend to visit to outline the process of entering/exiting that building.

What items am I allowed to collect?

This is an opportunity to collect small IT items such as your monitor and mouse plus any personal items from your office.

If you would also like a chair, please make a separate booking for chair collection (this is from Headingley Campus only). If you require a keyboard, please email conferences@leedsbeckett.ac.uk to arrange for one to be sent in the post.

I have an ergonomic keyboard on my desk, can I take this home?

Yes. Should you experience any issues when connecting the keyboard to your home device you can arrange support through the IT Service Desk.

What if my monitor does not connect to my home device?

You may require an additional adaptor which can be ordered through the IT Service Desk.

How do I collect an occupational health chair or other specialist equipment?

If you require an occupational health chair or other large equipment please email conferences@leedsbeckett.ac.uk who will assist you with arranging the collection of these items.

How have you ensured that chairs are safe to take away?

Collection and sanitation has been performed by our Portering colleagues who have been supplied with the relevant PPE to ensure minimal contact between themselves and the chairs.

Once chairs have been collected from around campus all hard surfaces have been thoroughly sanitised. They have then been contained and quarantined for 72 hours meaning that any potential traces of the virus on the upholstery will no longer be present.

How do I make arrangements to collect my belongings if I do not have access to a vehicle?

We are working to find a solution to this – more information will follow soon
