Description

This event has been set up to secure deposits for the under 13 tour.

1.0 Responsible People

Director of Youth Rugby – Johnny Christie, Head of Youth Rugby – Calum Bruce, Coaches – Greg Parke and Gareth Johns and Dads – Allan Cruickshanks, Iain Arbuckle and Andrew Cranston.

2.0 Dates and Times

The tour would last the entire weekend from the 12th – 14th May 2017. A bus would pick up players and helpers from Carnoustie High School at 16:00 hours on Friday 12th May 2017 and return back to Carnoustie High School at 16:00 hours on Sunday the 14th May 2017. Everyone will need to make their own arrangements for getting home thereafter. We may need to ask the school to let players leave class slightly earlier than usual so that they can be changed into their club kit for the bus journey.

3.0 Accommodation

We will be staying at Trossaschs Tryst which can accommodate up to 31 people and can be viewed at www.scottish-hostel.com/.

4.0 Itinerary

On the Friday evening we will be playing a game either against Stirling County or Perthshire. Suggested KO is 18:00 hours. Once the games are finished we would either have hospitality at Perthshire or back to Callander for a BBQ. On the Saturday we will be going to Go Country (www.gocountry.co.uk) and participating in a day of activities. A list of potential activities have been provided and the tour committee need to agree the most appropriate list in consultation with the players. On the Sunday we will be playing another fixture (to be confirmed). Suggested KO is 11:00 hours. Once the games are finished we would either have hospitality at the host venue or we will stop somewhere for some food on the way home.
