About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

You’re invited to the National Churches Trust annual Carols by Candlelight concert on Thursday 11 December, 7pm at Grosvenor Chapel in Mayfair, London.

Be transported into a winter wonderland with your favourite festive carols from our choir and brass band, as well as music and readings from Katie Derham, Joe Stilgoe and Bill Bryson.

This event will raise funds for the work of the National Churches Trust supporting churches and chapels throughout the UK. On the night, you’ll hear more from the National Churches Trust on how we’ve been able to help protect the UK’s historic churches, to keep them open today and tomorrow, and for generations to come.

Tickets include a glass of fizz or soft drink, mince pie and a programme. Doors open at 6:30pm.

We are delighted to be returning to Grosvenor Chapel, which you may recognise from Richard Curtis’ hit Christmas film, Love Actually. This elegant church presents an outwardly simple design of brick and stone edging, with a church steeple and a clock in the centre. But inside this 18th century wonder, you’ll find a stunning mainly white interior and an 18th century-style organ.

We want to keep churches open and in use.

Churches, chapels and meeting houses are impressive, exciting and surprising places.

Whether seeking quiet reflection access to critical community services, a warm welcome, a place to worship, or a space to explore open-mouthed, we believe they should be loved and supported. Available to all.

Working together with churches across all four nations, we help to maintain these wonderful historic buildings and keep them thriving today, and tomorrow.

Time is running out for hundreds of historic churches.

You can help us keep them open for future generations by becoming a Friend of the National Churches Trust
