Saturday 23rd April, 10:30am - 12:30pm (£25 for 2 hours)
Programme
Aimed at beginners this 2 -hour workshop will show students the basics of drawing your pet as a cartoon character. You’ll learn principles of cartooning your furry (or scaly, or feathered) friends, and capturing what it is about them that makes them so unique and special. Ideal as gifts or keepsakes!
Whilst some of our pets are exceptionally well behaved and just love posing for drawing’s, this isn’t always the case. So for the sake of ease, we ask you work from photo’s rather than real life during the lesson. With that in mind you’ll need at least one clear photo of your pet, if this is on a mobile phone or tablet, make sure they’re fully charged as you’ll be referring to them a lot.
Other than that all you’ll need is some blank A4 paper, a pencil, sharpener and rubber and a black fine liner pen.
Artist tutor Tommy is on hand to offer design tips and advice on how best to approach your caricature.
Suitable for 12+ years.
