What does Caruru represent?More than just a typical dish from Bahia, Caruru is a celebration of children and Afro-Brazilian ancestry, marked by sharing, music, and the strength of community. It is a bountiful table, a circle of conversation, song, dance, and spirituality.

This year, once again, Caruru crosses the Atlantic to bring Bahia to London — with the vibrant energy of dendê oil, the flavour of traditions, and the joy that transforms each gathering into an act of cultural resistance and an expression of our emotional heritage.
