Cambridge Hub Study Group - Week 4

Join our free study group sessions for the Raspberry Pi Foundation’s new Online Training courses

The Cambridge CAS Hub invites you to join us at The Raspberry Pi Foundation’s Cambridge HQ for 4 weekly sessions that will help you to complete one (or both) of our new Online Training courses. We will have kit and staff on hand to help you with each course, you just need to bring yourself! Look out for the other events in this series in the CAS events calendar.

To participate sign up to one of the two courses below, and then book a ticket for each study group Session:

Teaching Physical Computing with Raspberry Pi and Python

In this final week, you will learn:

  • About digital making in it’s different forms
  • Work through an example digital making project
  • Apply your learning to create your own digital making project

Teaching Programming in Primary Schools

The fourth and final concept we’ll be looking at is ‘selection’.

  • After learning what selection is, and examining some real-world examples, you’ll use selection in a range of cross-curricular Scratch projects.
  • You’ll make a ‘capital cities’ quiz and a program that classifies animals based on answers to yes/no questions.
  • As this is the final week, you will also have the opportunity to combine everything you’ve learnt to create your own project.
