Cash Smart Credit Savvy (1 course in 2 parts)
This is a single course running over 2 mornings.
Cash Smart Credit Savvy
A simple and effective way of teaching anyone how to set up a budget and how to improve their money skills; for their own use and/or to support others. Money affects all parts of our lives and our choices, but there is often little teaching about it. Cash Smart: Credit Savvy (CS:CS) is a way of equipping people from charities, faith groups and organisations to talk about money and pass on their knowledge to others. It is not training people to give advice. Rather it is a fun, interactive and accessible course, which helps people to:
Build a budget
Understand benefit changes
Explore Savvy Spending
Understand Credit & Loans
Look at debt
It is not aimed at any particular group. Our experience is that everyone who attends the course benefits from it. It can also be a first step to other longer and more advance courses. The emphasis is on empowering people to manage their own money in their particular circumstances so that they are in control of their budget. It has been sucessfully used by/with charities, councils, schools, churches and food banks.
