About this event

Artistic director Evie Coplan warmly invites you to the first year of The Cranborne Chase Chamber Music Festival.

The festival is running over the 9th and 10th September 2022 in the stunning setting of the Cranborne Chase. This first concert will be held in the intimate setting of St Nicholas Church, Ashmore where Caskie Trio take the spotlight.

Caskie Trio

Caskie Trio are made up of Maya Caskie (piano, vocal), Nicole Petrus Barracks (violin, vocal) and Evie Coplan (cello, vocal). The trio are graduates of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and respectively from the Composition, Jazz and Classical departments of the school. They are a trio of young women who perform original music merging singer-songwriter, folk and improvised music, in a style inspired by artists such as Laura Marling, Ichiko Aoba and I’m With Her etc.

Their small ensemble brings a surprisingly warm, full sound that is perfect for intimate venues. In 2021, they were selected as artists for Small Pond Studio X Arts Council England’s Emerging Artists Scheme and were also recipients of Wired4Music's funding program, “The Generate Scheme". Since establishing themselves as a trio in 2021, they have performed a sold out show at Green Note and Christ Church East Sheen, and are looking forward to future dates at Green Note, Pizza Express Live and the Cranborne Chase Chamber Music Festival.
