When two worlds—practice and research—meet in genuine partnership, something powerful happens. In this session, we will explore how sustained, authentic collaboration between an executive headteacher and a senior lecturer has become a catalyst for transformation in early years education.
Through open dialogue and critical reflection on many different aspects of nursery life including; Ofsted, curriculum, inclusion, assessment, and workforce challenges, we’ve discovered that every conversation is a thread weaving into a richer tapestry of understanding. This partnership doesn’t just influence classroom practice—it elevates professional knowledge, confidence, and innovation on both sides.
Join us as we uncover:
- Why collaboration rooted in trust and curiosity sparks meaningful change.
- How reflective dialogue bridges theory and practice to improve outcomes for children.
- Why having our own personally curated communitas continues to support our own development.
- Practical examples of how shared inquiry shapes inclusive, responsive environments.
- The interlinked layers that make authentic partnerships sustainable and impactful.
This is more than a story of two professionals—it’s a vision of what happens when we embrace collaboration as a living, evolving process that benefits children, educators, and the wider early years community.
